from the dealership after buying my first Z. $4100 in damages. A 1990 NA, in 1997. I was 17, and this was my first "nice" car. I went deer hunting the next day. Got a nice buck with only $2 worth of .308 shells. Revenge, however, is priceless. I just pretended that I had never read Moby Dick. Deer are pretty bad in NC, but I'm in somewhat rural Georgia...probably the worst place for deer crossings. I've hit 4 since 1996, and I've been lucky compared to many around here. My father used to have an old celica supra hatchback, and had a buck get out onto the road in front of him on Halloween night. He came to a complete stop, and the deer actually charged him. Smashed the entire front windshield out, and tore up the dash. It seemed like it was trying to gore him while it stood on his hood. Fortunately, my dad was just shaken up and covered in glass, but was unharmed. I would never have believed it, except it happened in front of our house, and I was standing maybe 50 yards away waiting for my dad to get home. I was wearing a vampire costume and was going to jump out and scare him when he got to the driveway (I was 10 years old at the time). Looks like the crazy ass deer took care of that job for me. Not a drop of blood from the deer either. It just tore off into the woods after destroying my dad's toyota. Of course a Z would have fared better....being a Nissan and all.
